The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has adopted amendments to the Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) that will allow model year 2003 Thermo Kings and Carriers to comply by installing a Proventia exhaust filter.

Installation kits are available for Thermo King SB, Super II, Whisper, Spectrum, Sentry, CD, JD, MD, KD, RD, TD, TS200, TS300, TS500, TS600, XDS, and other model TRUs. (1985-2003 for trailer TRUs, 1987-2004 for Bobtail TRUs)

Kits are also now available for Carrier straight truck TRU models R70, R90, Supra 622, 644, 722, 744, 750, 822, 850, 922, 944, and more.

Proventia's flow through filter (FTF) collects exhaust soot in a metal filter media and holds it until it can be regenerated. The filter cleans itself under normal TRU operation, without operator intervention. It’s easy to install, requires minimal maintenance, and has no impact on fuel consumption.
